Royals Vs. Rays: Jeff Francoeur Drives In 3 In 8-2 Win

For the second straight game, the Royals knocked around Tampa pitching, this time in an 8-2 win Tuesday night at Kaufmann Stadium.

Bruce Chen allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits over seven innings and picked up the win.

The Rays scored one run in the first and second innings, but Kansas City responded with a four-run third to take a lead it would not lose. A four-run eighth put the game in the bag.

Jeff Francoeur went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in the eighth inning. Brayan Pena went 2-for-3, while Yuniesky Betancourt went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Aaron Chow and Francisley Bueno combined to pitch the final two scoreless innings.
