The Missouri Tigers pulled off an epic comeback on Saturday to keep their baseball season alive, as they scored five runs in the eighth inning to defeat New Mexico State 6-2. From one elimination game to another, the Tigers will now play Louisville on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Central Time on ESPN3.
Conner Mach's double in the eighth inning served as the catalyst for a comeback, then Dane Opel singled to left field to score Mach, tying the game at 2-2. Michael McGraw then tripled to left center to score Opel for a 3-2 advantage. After that Scott Sommerfeld also tripled to score two more runs to push the lead to 5-2. Eric Garcia's RBI single pushed the lead to 6-2 and the game was ended soon thereafter.
Louisville was trounced by Arizona 16-4 on Saturday, thus making this game of equal importance for both teams.
