2012 NCAA Baseball: Stony Brook Eliminates Missouri State 10-7

Missouri State was eliminated from the 2012 College World Series on Sunday with a 10-7 loss to Missouri State. Stony Brook fell behind big early before erupting for seven runs in the seventh inning put them ahead for good.

Missouri State scored five in the first and added two more in the second to take a 7-2 lead. Stony Brook added a single run in the fourth to make it 7-3 before its explosion in the seventh inning.

Kevin Courtney homered twice and drove in three runs in the game for Stony Brook. Frankie Vanderka picked up the win pitching 6 2/3 innings while allowing three hits and two runs.

Keenen Maddox homered and drove in three runs for Missouri State. Tyler Burgess gets saddled with the loss after allowing two runs in just a 1/3 of an inning.
