Kansas City’s-own Tom Watson moved passed the first-day leader, Bruce Vaughn, with a second-round score of three-under 67 Friday at the Senior Players Championship in Pittsburgh.
↵But Watson, winner of eight major golf championships in his illustrious pro career, still has work to do to catch the tournament leader, Fred Couples, who, at 11-under-par 129, has a one stroke lead heading into the final two rounds over the weekend. Watson is at three-under 137 and tied for seventh, after shooting even-par 70 on Thursday.
↵The Seniors Championship is being played at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, which is playing host to its first major pro golf tournament at any level.
