Tom Watson Shoots 67 On Day 2 Of Senior Players Championship, Tied For 7th

Kansas City’s-own Tom Watson moved passed the first-day leader, Bruce Vaughn, with a second-round score of three-under 67 Friday at the Senior Players Championship in Pittsburgh.

But Watson, winner of eight major golf championships in his illustrious pro career, still has work to do to catch the tournament leader, Fred Couples, who, at 11-under-par 129, has a one stroke lead heading into the final two rounds over the weekend. Watson is at three-under 137 and tied for seventh, after shooting even-par 70 on Thursday.

The Seniors Championship is being played at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, which is playing host to its first major pro golf tournament at any level.
