The gem of the second day certainly has to be Fairchild, a top 500 prospect by Baseball America. He has a low 90's fastball that can reach 94. Also throws a curve and slider than will need continued work. His high school coach was former Houston Astros great, Craig Biggio.

I'd be surprised to see if the Royals are able to ink 36th round pick Raphael Andrades, as the Florida Gators commit is headed to one of the strongest college programs in the country (to play football).
