TNT's Steve Kerr, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal all picked the Oklahoma City Thunder to win the 2012 NBA Championship, regardless of who their opponent is according to NewsOk.com.
The Thunder closed out the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night in six games. After falling 0-2 in the seven game series, Oklahoma City roared back to win the next four games. With their Game 3 victory, the Thunder snapped San Antonio's 20-game winning streak dating back to the regular season.
"I would give Oklahoma City a pretty good advantage over either team," Kerr said of the Boston Celtics or Miami Heat. "This is just a terrifically talented team, and I think they are well-equipped to go on and win the NBA championship."
The Miami Heat face elimination on Thursday night against the Boston Celtics. While a Finals pairing with Miami would be the series that every basketball fan wants to see, the Celtics do present a better matchup with the Thunder.
The NBA Finals get underway on Tuesday in Oklahoma City as they will have homecourt advantage
