Kansas' Merv Lindsay To Transfer

Looking for another opportunity to get more minutes, the Kansas Jayhawks Merv Lindsay has decided to transfer and take his game to the University of New Mexico. Because of transfer rules, Lindsey won't be eligible to suit up for the Lobos until the 2013-2014 season.

After taking a recruiting trip to Albuquerque to visit the University, Lindsey had decided that was the place for him according to KUsports.com. More after the jump...

"I felt really good there, very comfortable," Lindsay said. "I liked everything about the place - the coaches, players. I didn't have any complaints, none at all. It's a family atmosphere.

"I'm going to use the year off to work on everything that is wrong with my game, get in the weight room and improve so I'll be ready to contribute to the team the following season.

During his 2011-2012 freshman campaign, Lindsay appeared in just 12 games for the Jayhawks, averaging just 2.2 minutes per game and scoring 11 points total.
