Tom Watson 8 Shots Down Heading To Final 18 in Senior Players Championship

Tom Watson broke par for a second consecutive day, but still trails the leaders by eight strokes entering the final round of the Senior Players Championship being played at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The Kansas City golf legend, still nursing a wrist injury, shot a score of 69 on Saturday for a three-round score of 206, tied with Jay Haas, the 2009 winner of this championship, and Willie Wood in 16th place.

Mark Calcavecchia and Joe Daly are tied for the lead in the Senior Players Championship with a 12-under score of 198. Defending champion Fred Couples and Tom Lehman are still just one shot back at 11 under.

Watson, winner of eight major golf championships in his legendary career, has never won the Senior Players Championship.
