Pernice, Watson Both Fall Back At U.S. Senior Open

Kansas City pro golfers Tom Watson and Tom Pernice Jr. shot 71 and 72, respectively, Friday and dropped further back in the U.S. Senior Open at Indianwood Golf Club in Lake Orion, Mich.

Pernice, who was just two shots back of the leader after the first day, is now tied for 12th and trails the second-round leader, Lance Ten Broeck by four strokes heading into weekend play.

First-round leader Tom Kite is one shot back of Broeck.

Watson followed up his par round of 70 on Thursday with a two-over score of 72 Friday, leaving him eight shots back of the leader at plus-two.
