NASCAR At New Hampshire: Kasey Kahne Hangs On For Second Win Of Season

A pit road miscommunication during the last pitstop of the day by Denny Hamlin gave Kasey Kahne the lead and he didn't relinquish it as he held on to win the Lenox Industrial Tools 301. The win was Kahne's first at New Hampshire and his second of the 2012 season.

A miscommunication between Hamlin and his crew chief led to a four-tire stop on the final pit sequence and dropped Hamlin all the way back to 13th place. He rallied to finish second but didn't have enough to overtake Kahne at the end. Clint Bowyer finished third and Dale Earnhardt Jr came in fourth. Brad Kesolowski rounded out the top five.

Teammates Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson finished sixth and seventh and were followed by Kevin Harvick, Greg Biffle and Ryan Newman. Points leader Matt Kenseth came home with a 13th place finish.
