NASCAR At New Hampshire: Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon Among "Losers" From Loudon

SB Nation's Jeff Gluck has gathered up his list of winners and losers from the latest weekend of NASCAR racing from New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and it doesn't look good at this point in the season for two of NASCAR's biggest names. Jeff Gordon and Carl Edwards both have had seasons to forget, and that continued this weekend at the Lenox Industrial Tools 301.

Gluck writes, "It's well-documented how both Jeff Gordon and Carl Edwards need at least one and probably two victories to make the Chase. That didn't happen for either this past weekend. Instead, one of their chief rivals scored the win and put a firm grip on one of the two coveted wildcard spots -- increasing the likelihood that either Gordon or Edwards -- if not both -- will be nonfactors come the Chase."

Edwards finished second last year in the Sprint Cup Standings so this is a major disappointment not only for his own fans but racing in general. Here's hoping he can turn around his season in a hurry.
