KC Chiefs Rank 7th On SB Nation's List Of Best Cornerback Tandems In NFL

It’s the offseason of the offseason — that time of the year in the NFL when lists populate columns where real news was once found. The latest comes to us from SB Nation’s Ryan Van Bibber who took some time to rank the NFL’s best cornerback tandems recently. The Kansas City Chiefs are always going to fare well on these lists as long as Brandon Flowers is a part of the unit, but the rest is also impressive.

Van Bibber writes, "The Chiefs lost Brandon Carr, but replacing him with Stanford Routt keep their starting duo strong. Javier Arenas has done well in the slot. De’Quan Menzie, a fifth-round pick, has potential to contribute as an inside corner as well."

The biggest surprise is finding the Dallas Cowboys unit ranked No. 4 overall. Once a major weakness, the addition of former Chiefs corner Brandon Carr and the newly drafted Morris Claiborne has turned the position into a strength.

The New York Jets were given the No. 1 overall position, followed by the Ravens and Eagles.
