British Open Leaderboard: Brandt Snedeker Leads Second Round, Tom Watson Looks To Improve Score In Second Round

The British Open is a tournament that can surprise many fans with who can be leading at any given time. In the second round, Nashville resident Brandt Snedeker has used a strong stretch of five birdies in seven holes to put him at 6-under for the round through 16 holes. His tournament score is now 10-under, four strokes ahead Zach Johnson and Paul Lawrie who are currently tied for second.

First round leader Adam Scott bogeyed No. 3 and is currently in fourth place at 5-under. Bubba Watson and Tiger Woods have just begun their second rounds and are even through only a couple holes. Right now the projected cut line is at 3-over, but that is subject to change with the results of the round.

Golfers with ties to the area include Tom Watson who is 1-over for the tournament so far and is set to tee off momentarily. Oklahoma State graduate Alexander Noren is 1-over for the round through 16 holes and 2-over for the tournament. Gary Woodland from Topeka, Kansas shot an even 70 for the second round keeping him at 3-over for the tournament.
