Adam Scott's 75 in the final round of the 2012 British Open paved the way for an old cagey veteran to win a Claret jug for the second time of his career. Ernie Els shot a 2-under 68 in the final round of The Open to win his second jug for his trophy case.
Sunday wasn't just about the triumph of Els and the collapse of Scott, as others fell pray to what Lancashire can do to a golfer's gumption. Tiger Woods shot a +3, Brandt Snedeker shot a +4 and Graeme McDowell shot a +5 on their final 18 holes, losing out at a chance to challenge for the third major title of the year.
