The Kansas City Royals take on the Seattle Mariners in the third game of a four-game series on Saturday afternoon in Seattle, as the Royals look to snap a three-game losing streak, that has put the team in last place in the American League Central.
Bruce Chen gets the nod on the mound for the Royals, in search of his first win since June 26. Chen has allowed at least three runs in each of his last five starts, and has not escaped the sixth inning in any of them. To date, Chen is 7-8, with a 5.54 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and .283 average against.
The Mariners will send Kevin Millwood to the mound to counter Chen. Millwood is looking for his first win since May 23 -- a span of nine starts. Millwood is 3-8, with a 4.13 ERA and 1.38 WHIP so far in 2012.
Per KC's official website, Saturday's game will not be televised, but do check FOX Sports KC just in case. MLB.tv may or may not carry the game, as it lists "MLB.com" as the source for Seattle's feed -- but it's on during the same time as the FOX games of the week.
