Mike Moustakas Injury Update: Knee Issues Make Royals 3B Day-To-Day

The greatest offensive force in the Kansas City Royals line-up might be out for a few days with a lingering knee injury that will keep Mike Moustakas out. Currently he's termed as day-to-day for the Royals, and a team that already has a hard time winning is now set further back against a Mariners team that cannot seem to be stopped. He went out in today's game against Seattle.

MLB.com's Dick Kaegel writes, "Moustakas made a spectacular stab of Casper Wells' hot smash down the line, lunging to spear the ball in foul ground and throwing from his knees to first baseman Eric Hosmer. Wells was called safe on a close play. Afterward, Moustakas felt discomfort in the knee."

Moustakas is hitting .262 with 16 home runs and 50 RBI on the season.
