As the 2012 London Olympics get underway during day three, there is little change at the top of the overall leaderboard as China and the United States still lead during the summer games with 12 and 11 medals overall atop the medal count. The Chinese are excelling in the most sports with six gold medals apiece, while the Americans have three.
Shooting, diving, weightlifting and judo are among the many sports starting early today so the medal count should change quite a bit as some countries begin to see their specialties coming along in the schedule.
