London Olympics Medal Count: U.S. Still Tied With China For Total Medals

The Oklahoma City Thunder trio of "locals" helped the United States cruise past Tunisia during Tuesday's events at the London Olympic Games, while the Americans and Chinese are neck and neck in the medal race. The score atop the medal leader board remains tied between the United States and China at 23 medals each, with the Chinese boasting a 13-9 advantage in gold medals over the Americans. Rounding out the top five is Japan, with 13 total medals, France (11 total) and South Korea (nine).

The U.S. has plenty of time to make up ground in the gold. American took the women's team gymnastics event and various swimming individuals on Monday and Tuesday, but with the bulk of the medal events ahead (you can mark off mens basketball, we're confident) it's still anyone's Olympics.

You can find a complete medal count and breakdown at SI.com.
