The National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar Team has announced their selections and Kansas State junior Hanna Roos has earned mention for her 3.7 GPA. She also recently placed 15th at the recent Big 12 championship. From the university release:
Roos, a junior during the 2011-12 season, has earned a cumulative GPA of 3.708 in graphic design and is a two-time First Team Academic All-Big 12 performer. Roos is the first Wildcat named to the NGCA All-American Scholar Team since Katy Heffel, Helene Robert and Abbi Sunner in 2007. Heffel was a four-time recipient, while Robert was honored three times.
A product of Uppsala, Sweden, Roos finished her junior campaign with a 77.56 stroke average in nine events with two top-20 finishes. She tied for 12th at the Westbrook Spring Invitational with a 1-over par 217, while she led K-State at the Big 12 Championship by placing 15th at 20-over par 230.
