The final 12-man roster for the United States Olympic team was named on Saturday evening and the Oklahoma City Thunder had three players named to the roster. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were no brainer decisions, but getting James Harden on the team was a surprise since he was on the bubble.
The other two players to make the team are Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers and Andre Iguodala from the Philadelphia 76ers.
Injuries to other players is what helped Harden land one of the final three spots:
They earned the final three spots that opened after a rash of injuries knocked out at least four players who would have been on the team. They beat out Eric Gordon, Rudy Gay and No. 1 draft pick Anthony Davis of New Orleans, who couldn't scrimmage this week because of a sprained ankle.
