Royals Vs. Orioles Final Score: Alex Gordon Homers Twice In 7-3 KC Win

Alex Gordon hit two homers and the Kansas City Royals overcame a three-hour rain delay to defeat the Baltimore Orioles 7-3.

Gordon's first inning home run began the scoring and his solo shot in the seventh capped the Royals night. Billy Butler and Salvador Perez also went deep in the win.

Luis Mendoza could have very well been the story as he picked up his sixth win of the season while allowing seven hits and three runs. Mendoza shut out the Orioles through the first six innings but couldn't escape a little trouble in the seventh.

Chris Tillman takes the loss for Baltimore giving up six hits and six runs in 5 2/3 innings of work. Tillman surrendered three of the four homeruns hit by the Royals. Kelvin Herrera and Tim Collins gave up one hit but zero runs in three combined relief innings for Kansas City.
