Royals Vs. Orioles Final Score: Kansas City Drops Final Game In Series To Baltimore, 5-3

In the final game of a four-game set, the Kansas City Royals feel to the Baltimore Orioles 5-3. The Royals led 3-2 after the top half of the fifth inning but the Orioles Nick Markakis hit a solo home run to the tie the game at three off of starting pitcher Bruce Chen. Then in the sixth inning the Orioles had a RBI single by Mark Reynolds which would ultimately be the game winning play, also came off of Chen. In the eighth the Orioles added one more run on a passed ball.

The Royals offense just could not get anything going after the fifth inning as they were held hitless by a combined four Orioles relief pitchers, and during the final four innings the Royals had only one player reach base so their chances to make a comeback just were not there Sunday night.
