Kansas State senior linebacker Arthur Brown has been named as an honorable mention to the SB Nation Preseason All-Americans 2012 team. Big 12 offensive players probably aren't surprised.
Brown has accolades for days, including being named to the Preseason All-Big 12 team, and has said he hopes to become more of a vocal leader for the Wildcats' defense this season. In 2011, Brown earned honorable mention All-America honors from Sports Illustrated, First Team All-Big 12 by the league's coaches, Associated Press, Kansas City Star, Fort Worth Star-Telegram and Rivals.com. He was also a semifinalist for the Bednarik Award and was named to the watch lists for the Nagurski and Butkus Awards.
After deciding to return to Kansas State for his senior season, Brown is considered a top 2013 NFL Draft prospect (perhaps even a first-rounder).
Georgia's Jarvis Jones, Notre Dame's Manti Te'o and Wisconsin's Chris Borland were the first-team linebackers on SB Nation's list.
