Kansas City Chiefs defensive back DeQuan Menzie is apparently "coming along" from his injury, this at least according to Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel.

Menzie, who will now play cornerback when he returns rather than safety, suffered a hip injury. When asked if Menzie is closer to playing, Crennel responded by saying, "Well you know he had a hip issue and he's rehabbing it and coming along."

Elsewhere in Kansas City's secondary, cornerback Brandon Flowers remains sidelined with a heel injury. Flowers has not practiced with the Chiefs since July 31. Flowers is expected to try to practice, but if his heel is bothersome, Flowers will continue to sit out.

Kansas City suffered another blow to its secondary in Saturday night's loss to the St. Louis Rams, as Kendrick Lewis suffered a shoulder injury that will keep him out indefinitely.
