Tamba Hali Suspension: Chiefs Linebacker Apologizes For 'Mistake'

Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali has been suspended for a game without pay thanks to a violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy, though the details of the incident that got him suspended are unknown at the moment.

Chiefs GM Scott Pioli released a statement regarding the suspension already, and now Hali himself has put out a statement apologizing for his 'mistake':

"I apologize to my teammates, the Hunt family, the Kansas City Chiefs organization and most importantly, our fans. I accept the discipline from the league and will return week 2 of the NFL season with a commitment to erase this mistake with my play on the field and my conduct off of it."

Hall can continue to practice with the squad throughout the preseason but will have to miss their first game against the Atlanta Falcons.
