Missouri Suffers Several Injuries Along Offensive Front

It's been a tough offseason for the Missouri Tigers football team in terms of injuries, especially on the offense. Left guard Travis Ruth and backup tackle Taylor Chappell have both already been struck down with injuries that will cause them to miss the rest of the season for the Tigers, along with a handful of other players who have been missing practices recently for a variety of reasons.

Now, another lineman has gone down, this time with a knee injury. Left guard Jack Meiners, projected to be high on the depth chart, if not the starter for the Tigers this season, was knocked out during a passing play:

He went down in the backfield at the end of a pass play. Once the team announces any update on his prognosis, I’ll pass that along. "We’re hoping it’s nothing serious," Pinkel said. With Meiners out, Evan Boehm got all the first-team work at left guard and Max Copeland moved over to right guard.

Seven other players also missed the Tigers most recent scrimmage through injury.
