Kansas' Tanner Hawkinson, Bradley McDougald On Senior Bowl Watch List

Kansas' Tanner Hawkinson and Bradley McDougald have been named to the Senior Bowl Watch List. The two players are a couple of the few bright spots on a team that has been picked to finish dead last in the Big XII.

Hawkinson started all 12 games for the Jayhawks a year ago, extending his consecutive starts streak to 36. The 6'5'', 300 lbs. offensive lineman is expected to anchor Kansas up front. With Dayne Crist coming in, James Sims back after a three-game suspension and the Jayhawks' top two receivers returning, if Hawkinson and the offensive line can put something halfway decent together then Charlie Weis' offense just might have a chance.

McDougald might be the most exciting player on the Kansas team. He started at receiver and safety two years ago before settling at safety last season and also returned some punts. He finished 12th in the conference in tackles en route to All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors.

This is the first year that the Senior Bowl has released a watch list. There are 309 players on the watch list, from which 100 players will be invited to the 2013 Senior Bowl on January 26 in Mobile, AL.
