The Missouri Tigers women's basketball team recently honored one of their own with the announcement of a promotio for assistant coach Randy Norton. Norton will now hold the title of Associate Head Coach and it's a title that he's earned after two years at Mizzou folllowing seven at Illinois State.
"We are extremely honored and proud to promote Randy to associate head coach," said head coach Robin Pingeton. "He is a tremendous asset to our program and we are very excited that Randy will continue to positively impact our program for many years. Randy has definitely earned this recognition and is well deserving of this promotion."
"I am very grateful to Coach Pingeton and to Mike Alden for presenting me with this opportunity," Norton said. "I love coaching here at Mizzou, and I have always considered Coach Pingeton and the rest of the staff as an extension of my own family. I am truly blessed to work at a great institution that has great core values and I look forward to working with Coach Pingeton and everyone at Mizzou for years to come."
