2012 London Olympics Power Rankings: Michael Phelps, NBC And More

What has been missing from the Olympics? A power rankings list, of course!

SB Nation's Andrew Sharp compiled a top-25 list for the first week of the London Games. Both ends of the list should be surprising. At No. 1 is Michael Phelps, who has won his record 20th Olympic medal. Was there any doubt that would be the top moment? At the bottom is NBC and their controversial — but apparently possibly profitable — tape-delay strategy. We can complain all we want, but it's working, for some reason.

The list also includes is the Opening Ceremony, the good-looking Dutch field hockey team, Ryan Lochte's disappointment and Samuel L. Jackson's Twitter love for all things Olympic.

And that's just the first week. There will be more Power Rankings to come.
