2012 Olympic Basketball Final Score: USA Defeats Argentina 126-97

What looked like a close game at halftime wound up being a blowout win for the United States of America. The USA basketball team led by just one point over Argentina at half, but a monster third quarter set the Americans apart, as the USA went on to win convincingly, 126-97.

2012's version of the Dream Team outscored the Argentinean team 42-17 in the third quarter en route to the rout.

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant played a large role in the win, scoring a game-high 28 points. Durant was 9-of-12 shooting, including 8-of-10 beyond the arc. Durant also added five rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Durant's teammate Russell Westbrook was just 1-of-8 shooting and scored just four points, but did provide for this posterization moment:

LeBron James added 18 points of his own -- second highest behind Durant for the Americans.

The United States will now participate in the knockout round, as the Americans look to claim the gold medal yet again in men's basketball.
