Olympics Medal Count: China, United States Vying For Top Spot In London

Another day at the 2012 Summer Olympic games in London means another day that the United States and China are fighting for a spot at the top of the overall medal count as well as the honor of winning the most gold medals. The Chinese have taken control after ceding both top spots to the Americans over the weekend, and China is currently up two overall medals on the U.S. halfway through today.

Great Briain continues an impressive surge and is now within 20 overall medals of the U.S. for second place.
