2012 Olympic Basketball Results: Team USA Defeats Australia, 119-86

Team USA advanced to the semifinals on Wednesday evening, defeating Australia 119-86 in Olympic basketball action.

Patrick Mills led all scorers for the Australian team with 26 points. Mills, however, was just 9-of-20 shooting and coughed up four turnovers.

Team USA led by 14 points at the half, outscoring the Australians by seven points in each of the first two quarters. The two teams each scored 28 in the third quarter, before Team USA pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring Australia 35-16 in the final quarter.

Kobe Bryant led Team USA with 20 points, but was only 6-of-14 from the field himself. Bryant, though, was 6-of-10 from beyond the arc.

LeBron James led all players in rebounds, snagging 14 boards -- 11 of which came on defense. James also had a game-high 11 assists, and 11 points, giving up a triple-double.

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant finished with 14 points, two steals and five rebounds in 25 minutes. Russell Westbrook finished with six points in 11 minutes.

Next up for Team USA is a date in one of the two semifinal games against Argentina. It will be a rematch for the two teams, as Team USA defeated Argentina 126-97 in group play on Monday.
