PGA Championship Leaderboard: Gary Woodland 1 Shot Behind Carl Pettersson

Kansas alumnus Gary Woodland shot a 5-under 67 in the first round of the PGA Championship and is one shot off the lead at Kiawah Island in South Carolina.

Carl Pettersson shot a 6-under 66 and is alone in first place. Woodland made four birdies, an eagle and one bogey for his round. Wichita native Chez Reavie shot a 2-over 74 and is tied for 88th. Among other notable names, Rory McIlroy is tied for second at -5, Tiger Woods is three shots back after shooting a 3-under 69 and Phil Mickelson shot a 1-over 73.
