The Oklahoma Sooners begin their 2012 college football campaign on Saturday as they face off against the UTEP Miners on the road at Sun Bowl Stadium in El, Paso, TX.

The Sooners begin the season as the fifth-ranked team in college football and the Miners -- who finished the 2011 season at 5-7 -- face a tough task in trying not to get blown out of their home stadium. Oklahoma is 18-0 under head coach Bob Stoops when they score 40 points or more in a game on the road.

Landry Jones leads the Oklahoma charge in his final college football season and will try to eclipse the impressive stats he put up in the Sooners 2011 campaign that saw him throw for 4,463 yards and 29 touchdowns.
