Wil Myers, Omaha Storm Chasers Playing For Pacific Coast League Title

The Omaha Storm Chasers and MLB.com's No. 4 overall prospect Wil Myers will play the Reno Aces for a the Pacific Coast League title in a series that starts Friday in Omaha, Neb.

Omaha will play a best-of-5 series against the Aces, a Triple A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. With a win, the Storm Chasers will repeat as PCL champions.

To help Omaha advance, Myers helped the Storm Chasers fight off a pesky Albuquerque Isotopes squad 16-7 in a decisive Game 5 victory on Sunday. The Kansas City Royals' top prospect went 3-for-5 in the elimination game thanks to a home run and three RBI.

A 2009 draft prospect who went 91st overall out of Wesleyan Christian Academy, Myers is listed as the best outfield prospect by MLB.com. He struggled with a knee injury in 2011 but is viewed as an valuable hitting machine. He played in 99 games for the Storm Chasers this year and has battled .304 with 24 home runs and 79 RBI.
