Hollis Thompson Discusses Joining OKC Thunder

Undrafted free agent Hollis Thompson, signed out of Georgetown this summer, discussed his excitement with starting his NBA career with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.

Thompson, expected to be a long-range weapon off the bench this summer, has added further depth to a team that is being touted as the strongest in the NBA this coming season. Thompson discussed his strengths, which center around his pure ability for scoring.

My strength is I can score. I love to score. I love to play for my team. I can do a lot of things. And I've got weaknesses in all areas. I can get better in all areas. So I'm looking forward to playing basketball and getting better.

The 6-foot-8 21-year old is recovering from sports hernia surgery in July, stating that he doesn't know his exact return date.

It's going well. I'm still rehabbing. I'm getting better every day, so I'm excited to get back on the court. I don't know exactly the date (of my return), but I feel like I'm getting better every day and I'm feeling a lot better.
