Kansas Basketball Recruiting: Bill Self Visits PG Chris Jones

Kansas men's basketball coach Bill Self has been working on his recruiting class of 2013 and beyond, and KUsports.com has an update on some of his point guard targets. Self met with Northwest Florida State sophomore Chris Jones on Sunday in Florida, and spent Monday visiting Demetrius Jackson in Indiana.

Jackson is a 6'1 high school senior from Indiana, and he's reportedly a top target of Notre Dame University in addition to drawing interest from Kansas. He's ranked No. 27 on Rivals.com's top 150. The 5'11 Jones has visited Baylor and Oklahoma State, and has visits scheduled for Louisville, Florida State and Kansas. Northwest Florida State coach Steve Jones had the following to say about Self's interest in Jones via Rivals:

Coach Self likes the way Chris moves his feet defensively. Coach likes his ability to defend the ball, and I think that defense has always been a top priority for Kansas and for coach Self.

Point guard Anthony "Cat" Barber is No. 9 on the Rivals board, and visited Kansas two weeks ago. Marcus Lee, a 6'9 forward from California who sits No. 15 on the Rivals list, is also reported to have interest in Kansas.
