Derek Fisher Has 'Remote' Chance Of Rejoining Oklahoma City Thunder

Derek Fisher backed up Russell Westbrook for the Western Conference champion Thunder last season, but the chances of him returning to Oklahoma City are being called "remote" by Sports Illustrated. Oklahoma City currently has a full roster, and they've got both Eric Maynor and Reggie Jackson set to back up Russell Westbrook throughout the NBA regular season.

Fisher has already turned down the opportunity to join the Chicago Bulls, and the Bulls then moved on to Nate Robinson. Fisher has also had talks with the Miami Heat, but Miami doesn't appear overly motivated to make that move at this time.

There are plenty of teams out there that would likely be a good fit for Fisher, but Amick speculates that Fisher may decide to sit out the early portion of the season and join a contender when a need for his services arises.
