The Kansas City Chiefs sent scouts to observe athletes at Florida State's game against Wake Forest and Wisconsin's game against Utah State, according to Chris Steuber.
While the Chiefs would never disclose which players they were watching or plan on watching while in attendance, one fan in attendance observed that the Chiefs scout seemed to be eyeing Seminoles QB E.J. Manuel in particular on Saturday. No. 5 Florida State went on to win 52-0 over Wake Forest and featured two touchdown passes from Manuel.
Also standing out during the game was FSU's running back Chris Thompson who finished with 197 yards rushing and two touchdowns on just nine carries.
Wisconsin's third game of the season will kick off against Utah State at 7 p.m. CT and features Heisman candidate Montee Ball as well as offensive tackle Ricky Wagner. Many believe Wagner to be the top senior offensive lineman and a top 10 talent for the 2013 NFL Draft.
