Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks' coaching staff face some stiff competition off the court, as Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari had an in-house visit with Julius Randle on Wednesday -- a visit that reportedly went very well.
Julius Randle had an in-home visit with John Calipari on Wednesday that went well, his coach, Chris Mayberry, confirmed.
"There are a few coaches that Julius is willing to confide in, and that he reaches out to with questions," Mayberry said, "But, I think that Calipari is by far the one that Julius is most comfortable with. Comfort in his recruitment is going to be huge, so I think that's great that Julius and John (Calipari) have that type of early relationship."
Randle, per RealGM, had his official visit with Kentucky on Sept. 15. The Jayhawks already lost out on Cat Barber, who opted for North Carolina State over Kansas. We'll see if Self can woo Randle to Kansas, or if Calipari will end up with him at Kentucky.
