Michael Beasley Working Out With Norm Nixon

Former Kansas State standout Michael Beasley has signed with a new team, the Phoenix Suns, and he is working hard to live up to the lofty expectations he had in college. Beasley is working out with former NBA point guard Norm Nixon in an effort to get in shape and polish his skills for the upcoming season, according to Pro Basketball Talk.

Beasley signed a 3-year deal worth $18 million with the Suns in July. The fifth-year small forward has made two previous stops in his NBA career with the Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves.

The 2010-11 season in Minnesota has been Beasey's best as a pro. In that year, he started 78 games for the Timberwolves, averaging 19.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Beasley started just seven games for Minnesota in the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season.
