Carolyn Davis, Angel Goodrich Land On Wade Trophy Watch List

The Kansas women's basketball team has two players on the Wade Trophy Watch List, the award given to the women's National Player of the Year, according to the Kansas University athletics department.

Senior forward Carolyn Davis led the Jayhawks with 16.9 points per game in 2011, while becoming the 23rd player in program history to score 1,000 points. Davis was named an All-America Honorable Mention her junior year.

Senior guard Angel Goodrich led the nation with 7.4 assists per game while earning a All-America Honorable Mention nomination. Her 250 assists are a Kansas and a Big 12 record for one season.

"First and foremost, I'm so proud of Carolyn and Angel and how they have been able to elevate themselves as two of the elite players in the nation," Kansas head coach Bonnie Henrickson said in a press release. "In addition, this is a statement on the type of program we have in helping student-athletes achieve their goals and developing our players."
