Kansas Jayhawks senior associate athletic director Terry Mohajir appears to be one of the front runners for the Arkansas State athletic director job, which became vacant when former AD Dean Lee made a move to become the University Advancement Division's associate vice chancellor. ASU has been attempting to fill the vacancy since early August.
A press conference was scheduled to be held this morning to announce the new athletic director, and officials from Arkansas State hinted that Mohajir may be the favorite:
Officials at Arkansas State confirmed to the Journal-World late Tuesday that a news conference to introduce the school’s new AD had been scheduled for 10:30 this morning, and sources close to the Arkansas State program said Mohajir fit the profile of what the school was looking for in its next leader of the athletic department.
Mohajir graduated originally from Arkansas State and held a position with Florida Athletic before taking his current position with the Jayhawks.
