Collin Klein listed 3rd in Heisman Trophy watch by Sports Illustrated

Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein jumped to third on this week's Sports Illustrated Heisman Trophy watch list. The spike in Klein's Heisman standing came in the wake of Kansas State's surprise victory over Oklahoma Saturday. Klein completed 13 of 21 passes for 149 yards and added another 79 yards rushing in the Wildcat victory,

In Kansas State's first four games, Klein has gone 56/80 passing for 758 yards and five touchdowns and only two interceptions. Klein has added 289 yards rushing on 63 attempts, scoring another five touchdowns on the ground. He is responsible for 61% of the offensive production to date for the only 4-0 team in the Big 12.

Sports Illustrated ranked West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith first, with Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel the runner up. Oregon halfback De'Anthony Thomas and Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray round out the top five. Smith and Klein are the only two Big 12 players included in the top 10.
