The Kansas Jayhawks women's soccer team came from behind late in regular time to snag a 2-2 draw with the Arizona State Sun Devils on Sunday afternoon at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex.
With the game level at 1-1 going into the 85th minute, the Sun Devils snagged what looked like it would be a late game winner off of a free kick from Christina Schedel. Kansas had a quick answer ready, as another free kick landed on the foot of Whitney Berry, who unleashed a 40 yarder that tied the game once again.
Despite the late flurry of goals -- three in all were scored in the final 10 minutes of regulation -- neither team was able to find the back of the net through the two overtime periods, locking in the first draw of the season for both teams.
The draw moves the Jayhawks to 4-1-1 on the season, while the Sun Devils move to 1-3-1.
