NCAA Football Rankings, Week 6: Kansas State, West Virginia represent Big 12 in top 10

After being idle for the week, the Kansas State Wildcats remained at No. 7 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

There are few changes atop the Associated Press Top 25 Poll for Week 6, and the Kansas State Wildcats held firm at No. 7 after being idle for the weekend. The biggest shake-up in the top 10 is the Florida State Seminoles jumping ahead of LSU, moving the Seminoles all the way up to No. 3. Elsewhere in the Big 12, the Texas Longhorns moved up a spot after holding on against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Mack Brown's team is on the doorstep of the top 10, ranked at No. 11. Oklahoma, who fell to the Wildcats last week, dropped a spot to No. 17.

West Virginia, who lit up the scoreboard for 70 points in their Big 12 debut, is the second-highest Big 12 team, one spot behind K-State. The Wildcats and Mountaineers will meet in the third week of October in Morgantown, W.Va. The complete Week 6 poll:
