College Football Rankings: Kansas State Up To No. 20 In Coaches Poll

Kansas State jumped up a spot to No. 20 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll released Tuesday after its opening 51-9 win over Missouri State. The Wildcats are one of six Big 12 teams in the poll: Oklahoma is No. 5, West Virginia is No. 8, Texas is No. 15, Oklahoma State is No. 16 and TCU is No. 17.

Coach Bill Snyder likely wouldn't have rewarded the Wildcats by moving up in the polls after what he saw as an unimpressive win over Missouri State. The Wildcats also moved up a spot in the AP poll, to No. 21.

Kansas State hosts Miami (Fla.) on Saturday and North Texas the next weekend before gearing up for Big 12 play against Oklahoma.

Missouri received only 16 votes to sit well outside the Top 25. The Tigers begin SEC play this weekend against No. 7 Georgia.
