Missouri women's volleyball standout Lisa Henning has been named as the SEC Player of the Week after the Tigers' undefeated run at the Lipscomb Invitational Tournament over the weekend.
Henning, a Blue Springs, Mo. native, averaged 5.67 points, 1.22 blocks, 3.22 digs and 0.67 aces per set over the course of three matches while leading Mizzou to the tournament championship. The All-American junior is already the third Missouri athlete to claim an SEC weekly award. The Tigers have only been in the conference for a few weeks.
Henning was a two-time Big 12 Player of the Week in 2011, and was also a unanimous First Team All-Conference selection. Last season, she set a single-season school record by racking up 523 kills.
The Tigers have another tournament on deck this weekend, as they'll head to Morehead, Ky. for the Morehead State Eagle Challenge.
