Missouri senior golfer and defending NCAA Regional champion Jace Long is ranked among Golf World's Top 50 collegiate stars heading into the 2012-13 season.
↵Long's 66-66-69 helped lead the Tigers to the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate Sept. 2-3 in Verona, N.Y. He won the individual title by 10 strokes with a 54-hole total of 201 crushed the previous tournament record of 208.
↵In the NCAA Regionals in May, Long fired a school-record-tying 10-under-par 62 to capture medalist honors in Ocala, Fla. He shot a 6-over 78 in June's NCAA Finals but is still building on the momentum of his outstanding individual season.
↵A Dixon, Mo., native, Long won two events as a junior, the Michigan Wolverine Intercollegiate and the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate, and a school record four tournaments as a sophomore. His six career victories are also a school record.
↵Long and the Tigers will next compete at the Golfweek Conference Challenge Sept. 16-18 in Burlington, Iowa.
