With 11 wins to both their credit, the No. 6 Kansas Jayhawks and No. 25 Kansas St. Wildcats are the class of the Big 12 on the even of conference play getting underway.
The Wildcats only two losses on the season were against top 25 teams, a 71-57 loss to the No. 4 Michigan Wolverines and a 68-52 loss to the No. 14 Gonzaga Bulldogs, both away from home. Meanwhile, the Jayhawks are riding a 10-game winning streak after their early season loss to the No. 21 Michigan St. Spartans. The winning streak includes a big victory over the No. 7 Ohio St. Buckeyes at home.
Kansas State will start their conference slate with a big clash in Manhattan against the No. 22 Oklahoma St. Cowboys this Saturday. The Jayhawks will forego conference play this weekend when they take on the Temple Owls in Lawrence before playing the Iowa St. Cyclones next Wednesday.
The aforementioned Cyclones and Cowboys also enter conference play with double digits in the win column. The Oklahoma Sooners and TCU Horned Frogs are just one win short of the 10-victory mark.
